Donation of the Image of Our Lady of Fatima
Ambassador Ana I. de Sequera-Ugarte places a crown on Our Lady of Fatima.
Madrid, 14 October 2009.Our Lady of Fatima finds her new home in Spain under the care of the Heraldos del Evangelio (Heralds of the Gospel). The image of Our Lady of Fatima (with a star on her dress) was donated by Mila Regala Santos, Project Director of the Alliance of the Holy Family International, a major promoter of the message of Fatima in 1917. It was brought to Spain by Ambassador Ana I. de Sequera-Ugarte.
Fr. Pedro Pable and Fr. Juan Carlos Sastre welcomed the 4-foot image of Our Lady of Fatima from the Philippines with warm and reception and intimate mass. During his sermon, Fr. Juan Carlos Sastre jubilantly announced the donation of the image as a timely, symbolic and meaningful gesture linking Spain and the Philippines to a new period of spiritual and prayerful solidarity.
