FORMER AMBASSADORS
The Philippines and Spain established formal diplomatic relations on 18 September 1947. In 1948, the Philippine Legation was established in Madrid with Manuel Nieto as First Secretary and Chargé d’Affaires. The legation was elevated to an embassy in 1950.
